The Problem: We Forget

The problem is not that God hasn’t given us a new identity. The problem is that we forget. We listen to old messages. We believe old lies. We let our past define us.

The enemy wants us to believe:

  • You are what you did.
  • You are what was done to you.
  • You are what others say about you.
  • You are what you feel.

God says:

  • You are what Christ did for you.
  • You are who God says you are.
  • You are loved with an everlasting love.
  • You are a new creation.

The Solution: Renewing Your Mind

Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Renewing your mind means replacing old messages with God’s truth. It means preaching the Gospel to yourself every day.
